Hertford Celtic FC gets new kit sponsored by Better Removals

We at Better Removals are proud to have sponsored new kit for Hertford Celtic Football Club.

The kit was handed over at Wodson Park Sports Centre in Ware on Saturday 13 September 2008, in time for the new season.

Says Jamie Wells of Better Removals: "We are pleased to be supporting this important local team."

The match which followed the handover of the new kit was an action-packed spectacular. Jamie Wells says: "The Wodson team ended up winning the game 3.1 with two goals from Joe Wilkie and one from John Sampford, with Dave Parret scoring their goal."

"Wodson started strong hitting the post and the bar in the same move after a shaky piece of defending by the Celtics. We then pushed on and took control of the game then we went 1.0 up after Joe Wilkie got on the end of Jim Phillips cross from down the right wing."

"Half time it was 1.0 to the Celtics, then 15 minutes in to the second half Jamie Wells turned Paul Coates in the box and squared the ball to John Sampford who finished it off well into the bottom corner to double the lead."

"Then against the run of play Wodson broke through, had a chance cleared away but only as far as Dave Parrott who struck the ball on the turn into the far corner giving keeper Grant Thrussell absolutely no chance of getting a hand to the ball."

"After conceding the goal, Hertford Celtics controlled the game until the end. Joe Wilkie netted his second and Hertford's third of the game to finish things off. This result was important to the Celtics as 12 of the 13 players had previously played for Wodson in the past three seasons at some point."
